Product overview
Decking forms the levels of your racks in addition to the beams: chipboard decking, wooden panels, wire-mesh decks, steel gratings or steel shelves. The 19 mm chipboard deck is the most economical option and carries 402 to 864 kg depending on length; reinforced wire-mesh decks go up to 1,500 kg. Kollirama supplies decking compatible with most medium-duty racks and pallet racking.
Available materials
Wooden panel
Fir panel, slatted (50%) or solid (100%), for pallet racking, formats 880 × 1,000 mm or 1,090 × 1,100 mm.
Wire-mesh deck
Wire-mesh steel deck with 3 to 5 stiffeners: standard version (800 kg) or reinforced (1,500 kg), lengths 880 or 1,090 mm, depths 1,000 to 1,100 mm.
Steel grating
Steel grating (pressure-locked, folded-edge, cleat or angle mounting) for heavy loads without transferring to the beams: 1,000 kg working load, formats 880/1,090 × 1,000/1,100 mm.
Steel shelf
Galvanized steel shelf for medium-duty racks: 50, 150 or 300 mm elements to combine, depth matching the beams from 400 to 1,200 mm.
Which decking for your rack?
The choice depends on the load, the container and the environment:
- Manual loads or half pallets on medium-duty racks: 19 mm chipboard decking, the most economical
- Pallets carried by the beams: wooden panel or wire-mesh deck (up to 1,500 kg reinforced)
- Heavy loads without transfer to the beams: 1,000 kg steel grating
- Wet environments, sprinklers or hygiene: prefer wire-mesh or grating, which let water and light through
- Always check the permissible load shown on the rack load notice: decking does not increase it
