How to choose your warehouse racking?
Choose your racking by crossing three criteria: load per level, available height under the ceiling and the type of products stored. The table below gives the dimensional benchmarks; the checkpoints that follow refine your decision before the layout study.

Static steel racking falls under EN 15512 (design) and EN 15635 (use and maintenance), which require visible load notices and regular inspection of rack condition.
Pallet rack or picking shelving: how to choose?
Pallet racks store full pallets handled by forklift; picking shelving is for order preparation by carton or unit, picked at operator height. Many warehouses combine both.
How can long loads such as tubes or profiles be stored?
With cantilever racking, using load arms without front uprights, available single or double-sided, for light to heavy loads, indoors or outdoors.
Can a mezzanine add floor space without building work?
A mezzanine or platform can add usable floor area at height. The gain depends on the footprint, access, flows, loads and building study; no automatic doubling can be promised.
