How to choose tire storage racking for a garage
Sizing starts with the actual stock and the route between storage and fitting bays:
- List tire outside diameter, section width, unit weight, loose tires or complete wheels and the maximum quantity to store
- Choose fixed racking for a stable stock area after checking layout, floor, access and fixing method
- Choose the mobile tire cart to bring a batch to the fitting bay; check the route, thresholds, slopes, turning space and immobilization method
- Do not calculate tire count from the 1,250 mm length alone: tire width and weight vary, while total load remains limited to 150 kg per complete unit
- For larger stocks or more storage heights, have the additional level or medium-duty racking with tire-support beams assessed
