How to choose your handling equipment?
Four criteria determine the right equipment:
- Load weight and format: single parcels (hand truck, trolley), full pallets (pallet truck), loose parts (stackable container)
- Movement frequency: intensive daily flows call for heavy-duty equipment and wheels suited to the floor
- Picking height: above head height, prefer a mobile individual platform to a simple ladder
- Compatibility with your racking: aisle width, first-level height and equipment footprint
