Single-station or multi-station cash desk?
The single station suits convenience stores: small footprint, one operator, built-in impulse display. It is the most economical option and the fastest to install.
Multi-station becomes necessary when peak traffic exceeds what one operator can absorb: each extra station smooths throughput, and a checkout line with conveyor makes sense above roughly 300 m² of food sales area.
In between, the back-to-back double station shares IT equipment and lets you open a second position only at busy times.
